Transmit pay from DFTA to Powerpay
Use this page to successfully transmit your hours from Dayforce Time and Attendance (DFTA) to Powerpay.

Enter all amendments to hours in Dayforce before transmitting your timesheet.

If your current pay period includes a new hours code set up, enter the hours for the new code in Powerpay after your final transmit to Powerpay. The code will be available for your timesheet with the next pay period.
Tasks

Go to the

Select the Load menu and select the pay period timesheet to review.

Confirm all hours, pay adjustments, etc. are entered for the pay period.
Statutory holiday dates are shaded in yellow on the Timesheet. To reveal the holiday name, place your cursor over the day.

(Pay periods with a statutory holiday) Confirm eligible employees will receive stat pay.
Tip: Identify qualified employees on the If an eligible employee does not display, contact your DFTA Support Team to review the pay policy for the employee.
Select an employee then select the Pay menu to display the stat pay information.

Confirm if problems are reported.

Go to the The Exceptions column will identify the errors found.

Click the payroll number link in the Organization column to access the timesheet.

Review an entry displayed, correct the error and click Save.

Repeat until all errors are resolved.

Authorize timesheet entries.

To authorize all timesheet entries at once, select CTRL+A then click Authorize. A brown icon will display next to each timesheet entry.

Click Authorize.

Go to the in Dayforce.

Confirm no issues display in the Exceptions column. If found, return to the Timesheet to fix the error.

Send a Mock Payroll Export file from the

Click OK.

Click the Pay Period menu and click the Enter button for the pay period you want to work with.

Go to the to review the status of the import file.
Powerpay displays if your import file is in queue, processing or complete.

Click the Details link to review any error or warning messages generated by the import process and take action, as required.
Note:-
Errors should be fixed before sending the final transmit.

Warnings are messages that do not affect the import of the data.

Generate totals in DFTA.

Go to the

Click Reports.
-
Select the Employee Pay Summary Report.

Set the date range to match the pay period to process.

Select the criteria for your report.
-
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Run Report.

Generate totals in Powerpay
-
Click the Pay Period menu and click the Enter button for the pay period you want to work with.

Go to the

Locate the Grand Totals at the bottom of the page.

Confirm the totals generated by Powerpay and Dayforce match.

Confirm the totals reported in Dayforce on the to the grand totals provided in Powerpay on the

Preview the payroll in Powerpay.

Review the information for anomalies, check new hire information, verify totals, etc.

Enter timesheet corrections in Dayforce on the

Enter employee profile corrections in Dayforce on the

Repeat the steps for the Pay Admin Checklist and Test Transmit. Repeat this step until all issues are addressed.
Note: Ensure all timesheet entries are accurate prior to completing these steps. If errors are found after the final transmit, your corrections must be entered in Powerpay.

In Dayforce, go to the

Click the Locked, Approved and Committed checkboxes next to the Exceptions column to lock the pay period to prevent additional changes to the pay period.

Click Save.
Your data is ready to transmit to Powerpay.

Select Transmit Options then Transmit to Payroll.

Confirm the import file successfully transmitted.

In Powerpay, go to the

In Dayforce, the Pay Admin Checklist displays your payroll number in green.
You can now proceed with any changes you need to make in Powerpay and submit your payroll for processing.
