Assign a shift rotation to an employee
Tip: This page is for customers using Dayforce Time and Attendance for Powerpay.
After you configure a shift rotation, you must assign it employees.
Prerequisites
You must have a shift rotation set up. See Set up a shift rotation.
Tasks

Go to the

Click the Employment Status tab.

Click +Add to create a new record.

The Effective From field populates with the current date.

Select an option in the Shift Rotation drop-down list.

In the Shift Rotation Start Date field select the day that the Shift Rotation is set up to start on.
Note:If the Shift Rotation is set up as Monday, then the start date you choose in Shift Rotation Start Date must be a Monday as well.
If you are unsure of what day the shift rotation should start on, go to the The Day field lists the day the shift starts on.

Select the Create Schedule from Rotation checkbox.
This option is tied to a Background Job that automatically updates your Schedule with the employees Shift Rotation. This Job typically runs on a weekly basis, on Sundays, but can be configured differently to suit your companies needs.
Note: If this is your first-time using Shift Rotations, contact our support team to ensure the Background job is set up on your account.
